Wow, happy Thanksgiving weekend everybody (where did the 'summer' go?)!  I wanted to get a post up with another reverse-engineered winning lottery ticket play time astrology chart for the weekend and decided on this instant Poker All In win from late last year to start diving into Part of Fortune, the details of which I believe to be very important for winning at least something in games of chance.

Below is the winning play time chart, with thanks to Astrodienst, the best free Astrology charts and more website on the internet!  You will notice that I'm using one of their great features of including Ptolemy's Terms for the degrees.  Yes, we're going to study Term rulers today.

So, as per the theory that I've been developing that there needs to be some connection between the ASC (ascendant) ruler (or planets in the ASC sign) and the 8th house of other peoples' money, you will see that this is actually difficult to find in this chart, and it is a bit tricky.  The 8th house ruler is Leo, the Sun.  The Sun is located in the 11th house (institutions = OLG) in the same sign as the ASC ruler, Sagittarius.  It is actually one house away from the ASC but Jupiter rules both the 12th house and the first few degrees of the first house, so technically we can say that the 8th ruler is in the sign of the ASC.  As well, the Sun has a semisquare to benefic, Venus (bringing luck to the ASC).  And if you really feel like drilling, we can see that Jupiter is in the sign Libra, and his ruler Venus is making that semisquare to the Sun so there is a backdoor connect there.

I originally played this time because of the Moon conjunct Jupiter on the midheaven as Moon-Jupiter aspects are very lucky.  This may have influenced the matter.

More importantly, let's look at the condition of the Part of Fortune.  I like to use POF as a timing device as it moves 1 degree every 4 minutes, but there's a lot more to this part that we need to see.

FIRMICUS MATERNUS' on Part of Fortune
Check out the link to Julius Firmicus Maternus on AstrologiaHumana as his very early discussions about the POF may hold some key points about the secrets of its luck power.  Page 136 holds the majority of pertinent details (I've put in a screen shot to the left for instant gratification) Those details amount, in brief, to the following:

To understand what lies beneath the POF we must look to both its ruler/dispositor (the ruler of the sign POF is located in), and the ruler of the degree that POF is situated in.  Most who study astrology are familiar with Ptolemy's Essential Dignities of the Planets wherein he outlined the degrees that planets have particular strength in, and for our purposes here (to find that luck rating), what Terms the planet is in.  I won't go into the background of what Terms actually are (have to go do more research on that first :)) but let's just say that we need to pay attention to the Term ruler of the POF as well as the POF dispositor.  It is the condition of these rulers that may determine how lucky we might actually be.  There will usually be two planets we have to assess but if POF is in a dual sign (like Scorpio) we will need to look at both dispositors as well as the Term ruler.  Happy day if all the rulers are actually ruled by the same planet!

THE USUAL SUSPECTS
Like in all electional charts, we seek to make certain planetary rulers strengthened to aid our cause.  The main ways to do that are (using a mix of Ptolemy and Lilly):

1.  Planet applying to benefics (Venus, Jupiter, North Node, Part of Fortune).
2.  Planet in own sign.
2.  Planet in sign of exaltation.
3.  Planet in own Terms.
4.  Planet in an angular house (and in suceedent houses), and/or on an angle.
5.  I've also found planet in its own house is good too.

There are some more but let's focus on the top 4 for now.  Now, back to the winning chart.  POF is at 14degrees24 Scorpio.  The dispositors are Mars and Pluto.

Mars has an applying trine to benefic, Jupiter.
Mars has an applying square to POF itself.
Mars is in a succeedent house, so not terrible, not great.

Pluto has a 0 degree conjunction to Venus, and a 0 degree square to Jupiter, and a sextile to POF (3 benefics!).  Pluto is in the 1st house, an angular house.

Lastly, POF's Term ruler at just past 14degrees Scorpio is Venus.  What is POF's Term ruler up to?  Venus has a 0 degree square to Jupiter, and a sextile to POF itself (connected to 2 benefics), and is located in an angular house in the sign Capricorn where Venus has day triplicity dignity (a +3 boost).

It's a lot to drill down every time but after practice you start to recognize where to hone in daily.  My current feeling is that these (I like to call them back room deals because you have to dig into the chart a bit to find the info) back room deals framing the luck and fortune of a given minute may have a strong effect on our play times.  Does anyone else out there do similar research into understanding lucky electional play times?  If so, I hope you will post in the Comments!

Have a great long weekend all.  Wishing you lucky gaming play times, and don't forget to check back again here for my next reverse-engineered winning play time astrology chart.
